Victoria with Many Trumps is a fast-paced adventure about a heroine who wins not through force, but through ingenuity and the habit of keeping a backup plan for any eventuality. Victoria lives in a world where magic and technology coexist, and the fate of cities is decided by deals, tournaments and hidden wars between houses. She appears to be a frivolous adventurer, but in reality she collects information, debts and promises, like others collect weapons. Her trump cards are not only artifacts, but also the people she helped, and secrets that are best not spoken out loud. Each new episode offers a task that cannot be solved in a straightforward manner: you need to infiltrate a ball, foil a plot, rescue a prisoner from an impregnable tower, or outplay the cheaters in an underground club. The series is pleasing that the heroine often finds herself one step behind, makes mistakes, takes risks, loses and rises again, because her main quality is the ability to learn. Slowly, her past catches up with her, and it becomes clear why she hates the word fate so much. This is a story about freedom of choice, the power of connections, and how real victory sometimes looks like a neatly played draw that leaves you a chance for the next move.
